Script for 'The Two Faces of January' is by first-time director Hossein Amini, who crafted the story for 'Drive'. Viggo Mortensen is a great actor for this kind of role -- it's easy to lock into what he does. Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac carry their roles confidently.
Trailer has an elegant suspense imported from the 50s or 60s. There's a definite Hitchcock vibe, one of those stories you can get
wrapped up in, and I like the identity mystery. Little surprise being based on a novel by Patricia
Highsmith, who also wrote 'Ripley's Game' and 'Strangers on a Train'.
I like the title as well. Has that throw-back feel -- old-school but cool. Coming from the producers of 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' is icing on the cake. For me, a great evening in.
