With Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, and Jane Fonda's breasts (It's in the trailer. Really.), based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper. Yeah, I'm there.
Downside? Script was also written by Tropper and, when a novelist does their own adaptation, it can be a bad thing. Too damn much dialogue, usually. Then again, this is dialogue-driven, so...
Other thing I'm not super happy about -- directed by Shawn Levy (The Internship, Real Steel, Date Night), who can be a tad mechanical.
But, yeah, love the trailer, so I'll give it a spin.

This Time Without Bad Words
I don't get why they roll out cleaned up trailers for nasty movies. They don't work because they tap dance around what's really going on and you sense that. You know something's not right and figure the movie isn't good, lose interest. It feels wrong and costs the studio at the box office.
If the movie is raunchy the trailers should be raunchy.
'Bad Words' is one of the most politically incorrect flicks to come along in a while and the first trailer, appropriately, was a red band f-bomb laced, insult slinging, titty-flashing romp. I liked it. It knocked me back on my heels to tell the truth, left me a tad slack-jawed, and that's pretty cool considering how many trailers I watch. It put the movie on my radar. I was looking forward.
But, this new green band snooze-fest knocks the movie back a peg.
Yeah...bad. No bad words, just bad. Here's the trailer as it (fucking) should be. If you didn't catch it the first time, enjoy.

Best Thing You'll See Today
Yeah, most comedies are way too politically correct (or just plain stupid) to be funny (not to mention engaging) and come off, well...autofellatiotist (I do hope I spelled that right). 'Bad Words', on the other hand, is completely lacking in political correctness, looks to be far from stupid and, yes, it works. Jason Bateman took a huge bite out of this role. This movie will make for a great evening.
