Creeps Up On You

There's just enough steam here. You want to dismiss it but the elements fall into place just so.

Directed by Scott Derrickson, written by Paul Harris Boardman - the team behind 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' and 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'.

More interesting though, is the upcoming 'Two Eyes Staring', a remake of the 2010 Dutch horror film 'Zwart Water', which Derrickson and Boardman are doing next, starring Charlize Theron. That can't be ignored, and it's part of what makes me think 'Deliver Us From Evil' will be good.

For whatever intangible reasons, this trailer works, pulls you in. At first, this movie hardly registered but now I'm betting it will make gobs. I'll probably stream this down the road someday.

Nice Edit

I had completely dismissed 'Deliver Us From Evil' as being too cheesy to consider but this new international trailer is so well cut I'm having second thoughts. This trailer almost seems like it's for another movie entirely. This is almost gripping. I wonder. Opens July 2 so there's more than a bit of confidence here.

Directed by Scott Derrickson (The Day The Earth Stood Still, Sinister) so it's fair to expect a certain visual panache. Could turn out to be a nice popcorn flick.
