Tense, Real, Believable
The line, "By my count, that's two of yours and two of mine" rings so true, cuts through usual character fluff, drills down. I don't know the plot but it seems clear what's going on. However, this doesn't play like a revenge flick and, in fact, doesn't seem to fit into any genre. 'Blue Ruin' comes off like a slice-of-life movie and the realism hits home, makes you wonder what will happen next.
Great title, love the poster, looking very forward.
