New 'Downsizing' Trailer -- or -- E x 135m = $0

About 30 seconds into this I realized it was existentialist, and, I'm like..."Is that still a thing?"

Also -- runtime is 135 minutes.

So: Existentialism x 2 hours 15 minutes = bomb. Further, release date of December 22 only adds to the pain.

Plays like a novel or short story, and I'd be interested in reading same, but as a movie, I wouldn't rent this. Renting movies is still a thing, right?

Kristen Wiig has slowly, surely become a star, a lead, someone who can carry a movie.

Want to find out why they call themselves 'The Skeleton Twins'.

Great looking performances, but don't watch if you haven't seen 'Marley & Me'. Trailer has a big spoiler. Really big.

'Hateship Loveship'

Based on another gem short story from Alice Munro, adapted by Mark Poirier (Smart People, Goats). Liza Johnson directs her first feature.

Of course, Kristen Wiig brings it. For me at least, this is must-see.

New 'Mitty' Trailer

Better music, some new footage, more Kristen Wiig, but still seems to try too hard. All the trailers have had that energy. Not feeling this one click into place.

Will Ferrell's 'Spoils of Babylon'

Great acting! Great piano chords! Soap opera lighting! Must-watch!

With Kristen Wiig, Tobey Maguire, and Tim Robbins. According to Variety the miniseries is an "adaptation of a non-existent novel penned by fictional author Eric Jonrosh (voiced by Ferrell)." I read that. Can't think of the title right now, but it's good.

I'll go with 'Lynchian'. 'Lynch-esque'? On IFC starting 1/9.
