'The Signal' Trailer
As promised in the viral vid we got yesterday. Directed by William Eubank, who did 'Love'. Laurence Fishburne is so easy to watch. Looks good, can't wait.

'The Signal' Viral -- or -- RU Agitated?
'The Signal' is a sci-fi thriller directed by William Eubank, who got a ton of critical cred with his 2011 film 'Love'. According to IMDb the plot goes like this: "A group of college students are lured to the middle of the desert by a hacker."
Okay...that doesn't tell us much, but here's the site where you can guess at the password for access to more info. I tried 'cow' because there's a cow in the video -- didn't work.
Here it is. Better than most attempts to capture the viral vibe, grabs your attention.

"TV" -- Now The Term Belongs In Quotes
Keeps getting better and better.
Had not paid attention to 'Hannibal' partly because it's on regular TV (NBC) and I (until now) still refused to watch the boobtoob. However, this new trailer for 'Hannibal' looks so good. With Laurence Fishburne and Mads Mikkelsen -- you can't ignore that.
'Hannibal' has that vibe, that rare quality I look for in movies -- you can watch with the sound off and it's still good, damn good. Promos for cable/internet shows have become very impressive over the past few years and now TV shows are picking up some of that sheen.
So, yes, it's not regular TV anymore -- that term belongs in quotes these days. The networks have to do something before Netflix, HBO, etc., take over the entertainment world and NBC looks to have raised their game.
I still won't watch live because I can't stomach commercials, but I'll get this on disc and enjoy 'Hannibal' the way stories are meant to be consumed -- one episode after another, no interruptions -- sort of like the way you watch movies.
