Marvel is saying Thor will now be a woman. From CBS:

Jason Aaron, who will be writing the new "Thor" series, echoed those sentiments. "This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is Thor. This is the Thor of the Marvel Universe. But it's unlike any Thor we've ever seen before," Aaron said.

Okay, that begs the question of who will play the female Thor in movies. Because, you know that's what Marvel is angling for -- more summer tent pole properties.
