Love Diane Kruger in this. She comes off real, avoids that movie star 'out to get you' vibe.
Hard to be objective, but this German production looks typically deeper, more incisive than an American movie. However, genre through line of, "They'll be punished, I promise you." is more in line with our expectations -- so, there's remake potential.
Kruger's upcoming, 'Butterfly in the Typewriter', about novelist John Kennedy Toole's effort to get his Pulitzer winning book 'A Confedercy of Dunces' published (directed by David DuBos), looks very interesting.
